Enough of this no(u)nsense

What is it with people using adjectives instead of nouns?

Reviewing an entry in my Facebook timeline I came across this post from 2008. Thought I’d share it with you here… just for fun.

Why does a major retailer of electrical goods want me to believe that they, ‘Live electricals’.

Why does the BBC Today program want my view on ‘Renewables’, which, I assume, means ‘renewable sources of energy;?

Presumably at some point soon I’ll turn on the TV to hear headlines read by ‘Newsers’ (since clearly we can’t be bothered to construct complete phrases any more)….

and don’t, whatever you do, get me started on ‘seckertrees’, ‘pry ministers’, ‘manner facturing’ or ‘libarys’!!

With years of experience playing bass in a wide range of situations a dear friend once said that if you were to cut me in half you'd find the word 'bass' written all the way through - yes I know that's so cliche - but that doesn't make it any less true! Like so many people I have more than one 'day' job - but most of my work-time these days is spent working for Interconnected Solutions.
