This time last week

Life is precious and we are so very, very fragile….

On the motorway on the way into Brussels this time last week all the traffic suddenly ground to a halt and as the cars began to cross the carriageways in front of us into the right hand lane it became clear that a nasty car accident had just occurred in the road in front of us.

It was apparent that there was nothing we could do to help, other than hope and pray that no-one was badly hurt, but as we drove by and saw the terrible state of one of the vehicles in particular it was a sobering reminder of just how fragile we are.

With years of experience playing bass in a wide range of situations a dear friend once said that if you were to cut me in half you'd find the word 'bass' written all the way through - yes I know that's so cliche - but that doesn't make it any less true! Like so many people I have more than one 'day' job - but most of my work-time these days is spent working for Interconnected Solutions.
